marquez_phillip@sac.eduPhil Marquez began working at Santa Ana College in 2002 as an adjunct photography instructor. In 2007 he was appointed Interim Gallery Director of the Santa Ana College art galleries. In 2011 he was appointed full-time Gallery Director and Assistant Professor of Art. Phil is very active as an exhibiting artist and has his photography in both private and museum collections. He has had countless solo shows throughout the United States. In addition to teaching Mr. Marquez has presented lectures on the history of photography at the Bowers Museum.
In his spare time Phil enjoys tending to his many hobbies which include American history - specifically the American Revolution and presidential history. He is often times found enjoying his summers by taking road trips throughout the country.
