Designed for beginner to intermediate students to provide a general introduction to the Spanish language, pronunciation, functional vocabulary related to everyday life, including phrases for commonplace work situations, travel, ordering in restaurants, cultural information and basic grammatical structures. Emphasis will be on the acquisition of four skills: listening, speaking, reading and limited writing. The main objectives is to give the students the ability to carry on a simple conversation and to provide the students a basic understanding of Spanish culture, vocabulary and grammatical concepts.
