In this introductory course students will learn the basic principles of floral designing by arranging various colors, textures and compositions with each project. Instruction will include hands-on designing with fresh and dried flowers; how to properly use tools and supplies, a comprehensive knowledge of flowers, foliage, color schemes, and the ability to arrange and design seasonal floral compositions. Students will need to bring a pair of pruning shears to class. This class is a pre-requisite to the intermediate and advance floral design courses.
A material fee of $300 is payable to the instructor who will provide each registered student all floral designing supplies. Students will receive a certificate of completion only after 62 hours of instruction that include Introduction to Floral Design, Intermediate Floral Design, Advance Floral Design and Shop Management.
