Link to Honors Transfer Program website.

​The Honors Program at Santa Ana College offers honors sections of transferable general education courses. These seminar type classes are furt​​her characterized by close interaction with Honors Progr​am faculty, small size, and special projects and activities. The major benefits of the program include honors transfer agreements, ​program completion recognition, ​scholarship eligibility and more.

To become a member, complete an Honors Transfer Program Application or contact the coordinator, Kathy Patterson (Patterson_Kathy@sac.edu                         714-564-6528 / D-428). ​

​The MESA Program is an academic program that supports educationally disadvantaged community college students to excel in math, computer science, engineering, and science so they can transfer to four-year institutions as majors in these fields.  

The MESA Community College Program serves more than 3,000  students statewide.  The program is a collaboration between MESA and the California Community College Chancellor's Office.

​​Twice a year, Santa Ana College hosts a Northern Trip for students to visit four UC campuses: Berkeley, Davis, Santa Cruz, and Santa Barbara. During this trip, students also receive individualized academic advising, transferable units (Counseling 110), and an opportunity to visit San Francisco. Hotel, transportation, and breakfasts are provided.

The 4-day program occurs twice per year: one during intersession (January-February) and another during summer (June) semesters.

​The Center for Teacher Education (CFTE) is a resource center for students interested in pursuing a career in teaching.  Our center offers information, academic advisement, and support for future teachers with an emphasis on preparing students for employment in local public elementary and secondary schools.

​The Puente Program is an academic preparation program with the mission to increase the number of disadvantaged students who enroll in four-year colleges and universities, earn college degrees, and return to the community as mentors and leaders of future generations.

 

Space is limited to approximately 30 students per academic year.

​​​Santa Ana College (SAC) Promise is an initiative of the Santa Ana Partnership and has expanded to serve all first-time freshmen. The goal of the program is to support students who would like to attain a certificate, AA degree and/or​ transfer to a four-year university by providing free tuition for your first-year studies. Additionally, SAUSD graduates receive guaranteed admission to CSU Fullerton. ​

​Current Santa Ana College students have the opportunity​​ to earn college credit and spend 7 days living, eating, and studying at UC Irvine. Students in the program take a SAC general education course, to be determined, and an additional unit will be earned by taking Counseling 111. ​​

The program occurs in July during summer session.

​Each year, the Transfer Mentor Programs pairs Santa Ana College transferring students​​ (mentees) with alumni (mentors) who have transferred to a four-year institution. Benefits include peer support, personal growth, networking, and developing interpersonal skills and an attractive resume.

The program is a year-long commitment (Fall to Spring). 

​Recruitment is from July - September for each academic year. Sign up for the UTC email database to stay i​n the loop.

University Link (ULink) is a cohort transfer bound program that gives the opportunity to students to apply for university admission. This program is open to all students who meet program eligibility.
