The Mission of the Art Department at Santa Ana College is to
be a leader and partner meeting the intellectual, cultural, technological,
workforce and economic development needs of our diverse community. The
Art Department provides students and the community with quality art education;
focusing on teaching, learning and scholarship. The Art Department prepares
students for transfer to university or art schools, and, through our CTE
certificates, careers in the arts. The department is committed to developing in
students aesthetic sensitivity, creative, critical and independent thinking
skills and fostering social responsibility.
