You can access Self-Service using this link: http://sac.edu/selfservice.

Go to the Santa Ana College website and click SELF-SERVICE on the top menu.

Sign-in

You will be redirected to the Sign In page for RSCCD Single-Sign On.

Enter your RSCCD credentials and click "Sign In".

2. Self-Service Dashboard

Once you are signed in, you will be taken to the Self-Service dashboard.

Click on the "Faculty" tile.

2. Course Sections

Sections that you are teaching are organized by terms - Scroll to find the section that you want and click on it.

3. Add Authorizations

Important Notes: Faculty do not provide students with a code, and students do not need to be on the waitlist to be authorized. Once an Add Authorization is granted, a student can register for the class during the add period.

An Add Authorization does not expire but is only valid during the add period for the section.

If you need to inactivate the Add Authorization and the student has not already registered, you can select the 'Revoke' link to prevent the student from registering.

To grant an Add Authorization, click on the section.

Go to the "Add Authorizations/Permissions" tab and select the "Add Authorization" tile.

Enter a student ID and press Enter. The student's name and detailed information will display. Click on the student’s name to select the student.

You will see an "Add Authorization Confirmation" pop-up. Select “OK” to grant the Add Authorization.

The student’s name should appear on the Student Add Authorization list.

Revoke an Add Authorization: To cancel the Add Authorization, click the "Revoke" link.

4. Faculty Drops - No Shows

If a student does not attend the first day of class, mark the student as “Never Attended” in the Never Attended column of your Drop Roster by checking the checkbox then click “Drop” button.

Faculty should drop students prior to the Census Date– Especially no shows . The Census Date can be viewed on Census tab and is labeled as CC and CE Census.

5. Faculty Drops - Dropping Attended Students Before Drop Grade Required Period or Before Census Date

Faculty can view their section’s Last Day to Drop without a Grade by clicking on the “Deadline Dates” link in their Course Section Details page.

Enter a Last Date of Attendance (format is m/d/yyyy – four-digit year. The system does not accept a two-digit year), but DO NOT ENTER A FINAL GRADE then click Drop button.

Important Note: Faculty cannot drop students after the Last Day to Drop with a Grade.

6. Faculty Drops - Dropping Attended Students During Drop Grade Required Period (On or after Census Date and before Last Date to Drop with a Grade date).

Faculty can view their section’s Last Day to Drop with a Grade dates by clicking on the “Deadline Dates” link in their Course Section Details page.

Enter a Last Date of Attendance (format is m/d/yyyy), and SELECT A FINAL GRADE then click Drop button.

During this period faculty will need to enter a “W” grade while dropping the student.

7. Grading

By default, your roster will be displayed towards the bottom of the Section Details page.

8. Do you offer financial aid and/or scholarships?

There are no scholarships available to NEW international students. However, the Scholarship Office does offer scholarships to continuing students who have completed a minimum number of units. For more information, please review Student Services & Support section under scholarships.

9. Can a Homestay be arranged prior to a student's arrival in the U.S.?

Yes, Homestay is usually arranged prior to arrival at the college.

10. Does the college provide airport pick-up service?

No, but information on airport shuttle service is provided to international students. The airport shuttle is a convenient low-cost service providing transportation from the airport to your destination. For more information, please review Student Services & Support section under Travel Help.
