Tessmann Planetarium Presents the Star of Bethlehem

During the month of December, the Tessmann Planetarium will present the Star of Bethlehem show.

The show explores the story of the Magi following a star to discover the birthplace of a newborn king. The show uses references found in the New Testament as its starting point. Then using the planetarium's powerful star projector, the show investigates astronomical objects and events that appeared in the Christmas sky 2000 years ago. The Star of Bethlehem is a scientific and historical detective story that examines the possibilities for the star that filled shepherds with awe and sent the Magi on their quest.

The show is an excellent way to expose students to both the history of the New Testament and the wonders of astronomy. It is also an unforgettable and meaningful holiday gift to give young and old alike.

The Star of Bethlehem will be presented during most evenings during the month of December. We also will present daytime presentations. Contact us if you're looking for a daytime show.
