Effective August 3rd, 2015 the Admission Process will be as follows:
The application filing period for the Spring or Fall 2017 semesters will take place August 22- September 26, 2016.

The following information should serve as a general guide for the admissions process. For detailed information, all interested students should download the Spring/Fall 2017 Applicant Instructions.

Step 1: Students should expect to receive a confirmation email once their application has been received by the OTA program.

Step 2: All completed applications that meet the OTA requirements will be entered into an unbiased random selection process (much like a lottery).
Information such as GPA, work experience, or observational hours will not be taken into account.

Step 3: After the filing period has closed all applicants will be notified via email by November 2016 regarding the status of their acceptance into the program.

Step 4: This is only for students who have been accepted into the program. Once accepted about 2 months prior to starting the program students will be sent information asking them to complete the following:
  • Background check via Certified Background
  • Obtain professional liability insurance
  • Provide documentation of various medical immunizations
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
    • Varicella (Chicken Pox)
    • Hepatitis B
    • TB Skin Test (1 Step)
    • Completed DTP (Tdap) Series
    • Influenza Shot or Declination
Step 5: If a student is not randomly selected to participate in the OTA program during the Spring or Fall 2017 semesters they will NOT be waitlisted to start the program at a later date.
