How can SAC BA Department help you to earn an Adobe certificate?

  • Business Applications (BA) is an official Adobe Certification testing site. You can take a practice test and an exam conveniently at Santa Ana College in the Business Division located in the A Building.

  • SAC BA offers a variety of Adobe classes which will help you learn the necessary skills and technical knowledge for an exam. These skills can also be applied to your current job, a new job, add to your resume, a new career, or for personal use. BA classes are part of the SAC BA Digital Publishing Degree and Certificate (Adobe) Program so you can earn a certificate and degree at SAC at the same time.

  • Currently registered BA students have an opportunity to receive a FREE voucher to take an exam which is a savings of $80 per exam (commercial price without a voucher).

How can you prepare for the tests?

The SAC BA Adobe classes provide hands-on instruction to learn Adobe software properly and efficiently using current business standards which are part of the Adobe certification exams. View the SAC BA Digital Publishing (Adobe) Program for more information about Adobe classes.

Here are links to the Adobe certification Exam Objectives (what will be included on the exam):

Visual Communication Using Adobe Photoshop

Graphic Design & Illustration Using Adobe Illustrator

Print & Digital Media Publications Using Adobe InDesign

Web Authoring Using Adobe Dreamweaver

Interactive Media Using Adobe Flash Professional

What are the tests like?

The tests are not written tests. They are hands-on real-world assignments based on the way you actually use your computer. The test runs along with Adobe software and provides you with tasks to perform on a real document. You work at your own pace, but you do have a time limit (50 minutes). Most exams can be completed in less than the maximum time limit of 50 minutes. You receive your score upon completion of the test. If you pass the exam, you  will receive your Adobe certificate in the mail approximately two weeks after completion of the exam.
