Underground Panthers @ Chapman University

Underground Panthers (UP) is a positive pathway for formerly incarcerated and justice impacted individuals to access higher education. The program is focused on creating a corrections-to-college pathway through recruitment, advocacy, and scholarship that will leave a positive impact on all students at Chapman University and add to the scholarly literature of carceral students.

H.I.R.E. OC's mission is to maximize the skills and opportunities for formerly incarcerated and system-impacted youth and adults in Orange County through employment, mentorship and community building.

Hope Builders empowers Orange County’s young adults with mentorship, life skills and job skills training that meets the needs of employers. This worthy goal reflects an unwavering acceptance of others and where they are on their life trajectories, and its commitment to empowering young adults to realize their strengths and positively impact their futures.

​​Project Kinship

Project Kinship aims to provide services and training to lives impacted by incarceration, gangs, and violence in the community through hope, healing, and transformation. Services include both direct services and capacity training for system and community agencies. Project Kinship’s staff provides emotional support and advocacy as we assist individuals through the stages of change and transformation by providing early intervention, prevention, reentry support and intervention, as well as assistance with system network care and service. A strong emphasis is centered on promoting system care access, individual and family driven case management services, short-term individual and group counseling, and group educational/skills classes. Program participants are provided with support that helps to develop hope, healing, and transformation which allows for the ownership of a meaningful and productive life.
