What is a High School Equivalency Certificate?

You earn a high school equivalency certificate by taking the GED or HiSET exam. A passing score on either of these exams is equal by law to a California high school diploma, per the California State Board of Education​.​​ The HiSET exam is made up of 5 sub tests. They are:

  • - Language Arts Reading
  • - Language Arts Writing
  • - Science
  • - Math
  • - Social Studies​

​What Times are classes offered?

We offer classes 7 days a week. Check out our online schedule​ to see our current course offerings. 

How long does it take to prepare for the HiSET exam?​

It depends. Some students need as little as one month to prepare and pass the exam.  Other students need six to nine months. A passing score on your test depends on your educational background and the amount of time you dedicate to studying. ​​

How much does it cost? 

Our test preparation classes are FREE but there are fees to take the HiSET exam.​
