      Overview​​
      Begin your training toward a the Pharmacy Technology Certificate offered at Santa Ana College. You will learn about the role and responsibilities of this position and be introduced to pharmaceutical dosage forms and drug development processes. Additional topics covered include prescription labeling and drug classification systems​ and the law and ethics of pharmacy practice. You will also learn basic math skills needed to succeed in pharmacy calculation.
      Course Requirements​​
      Students must pass BOTH of the following courses:
      VHLTH 799: Introduction to Pharmacy Technology
      ​HSMTH 190: Math for College and Career Readiness
      You must first meet with a counselor before enrolling in HSMTH 190​.​

      Students must pass ONE of the following courses:

      ​Employability Skills (VBUS 400)
      English for Work 2 (ESL 520)
      Participation Requirements
      • Students must meet with the Continuing Education Counseling Department before enrollment in this course.  ​​
