Overview​​
​Learn the ins-and-outs of legally flying a drone. Students will practice basic flight maneuvers and specific tasks like recording video and aerial mapping. Training will also include safety and emergency procedures.

The Drone Pilot Training course covers FAA rules and regulations. Learn settings and features of drones with supervised hands-on flight instruction with a licensed drone pilot. Drones are provided for the class.​​​​

​Course Requirements​
Students must pass the following TWO courses:​
VDMA 320 - Introduction to Drone Pilot Training
VBUS 303 - Adobe Photoshop

Students must pass ONE of the following courses:
VBUS 243 - Introduction to Customer Service Skills 
VBUS 400 - Employability Skills

If you pass VDMA 320 with a grade of B or higher, you can earn credit for DM 171 Drone Pilot Training through the credit-by-exam process. Credits from VDMA 320 can count towards a drone certificate or degree at Santa Ana College. There is no tuition cost for VDMA 320​.

​Program Requirements
​Be at least 18 years old on the first day of class.
