Educators/Teaching Practices
The SAC Dance Department takes pride in guiding its dance majors through the many diverse pathways of a dancing career. Dance major graduates acquire teaching positions with local dance studios or begin choreography/teaching projects for neighboring high school dance programs. Teaching dance through a mulititude of venues remains to be a prominent and promising career pathway as the current trends navigate through the virtual and social media platforms. The SAC Dance Department currently offers two courses with an emphasis in teaching practices for future educators and is also in the developing stages of a new Teaching Certificate for Children.
