Santa Ana College's award-winning 3D modeling & animation certificates address the fundamental requirements that artists are expected to know for entry level positions in the film industry, television, architectural/product visualization, and video game companies. The lab is equipped with professional-level hardware and software for the production of 3d animations and interactive multimedia projects. The instructors are professionals with game industry experience, as well as skilled educators, and believe that a teacher's success must be measured by the level of achievement their students realize. Overview
This 2-year Program addresses the fundamental requirements that 3D artists are expected to know for entry level positions in video game companies, the film and television industry, and the architectural and industrial visualization fields.

Professionally Equipped Computer Lab
Hardware:
Our computer systems have been confirmed to be the equivalent to what is found at the biggest 3D animation studios and game companies today!
Software:
Autodesk's 3D Studio Max - the most widely used 3D software package used in the entertainment industry, and many other programs that support in 3d modeling, animation, multi-media production and interactive media.
Tuition Fees
Free to approved high school students!
Ask your high school counselor for a CAP form. California residents pay enrollment fees of $46.00 per unit.
Award Winning 3D Animation Program
Students enrolled in Santa Ana College's 3D Animation Certificate Program continue to place *1st among all the community colleges state-wide, year after year! The curriculum has been carefully designed to provide the fundamental skills that 3D artists are expected to have for entry level positions. As a result, students are obtaining internships, landing jobs in the ares of 3D arts, and successfully transferring to 4-year colleges for advanced study.
* SAC received 1st place in the Media Arts Award Competition, sponsored by the California Community Colleges and Workforce Program, for the category of 3D Animation in 2004, and 2005. SAC received merits in 2004, and 2006 for the category 3D Modeling, and won a merit in 2003 for the category of 3D Animation.
