University Programs
SAC students preparing to become teachers need to consider several factors in planning their coursework. These include – meeting university transfer requirements, satisfying general education and major preparation requirements, demonstrating basic skills and subject matter competency, and preparing for a credential program. Future elementary school teachers, for instance, will find that it takes careful planning to obtain a bachelor's degree and meet the requirements for the multiple subject credential program in an efficient manner. Though the list below does not cover all your transfer options, we encourage you to reference the information and to meet with a counselor regularly in order to help streamline your education and prepare you for a credential program.
