Santa Ana College Prevails During Pandemic
A new school year unlike any other began on August 24, with students at Santa Ana College participating in online, hybrid, remote live, and remote blended coursework due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students are also attending essential labs and training on campus while abiding by strict safety protocols. Perhaps most importantly, SAC continues to provide programs and resources that support the academic and overall wellbeing of our students during a very difficult time. For example:
Student Services, including Counseling, Disabled Student Programs & Services, Financial Aid, and other offices are providing virtual and limited in-person support.
The Digital Dons program has loaned nearly 700 laptops to students in need, along with web cams, to support distance learning requirements.
Our Academic Computing Center provides a clean, quiet space for students to participate in Zoom classes, take exams, or study. All work stations are sanitized regularly and may be reserved in advance.
Since June, Dons' Corner, in partnership with the Power of One Foundation, has hosted regular drive-thru distributions, providing nearly 3,000 food packages to SAC students.
