Registered nurses are tasked with caring for patients and informing them on their health related conditions. They will monitor patients and record any changes in health and react to changes in health accordingly. They will explain to patients and their families how to care for illnesses or injuries.
There are several fields a nurse can enter and with an aging boomer population, a greater demand for more nurses. The nursing Program at SAC is approved by the California Board of Registered Nurses (BRN) and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
