Enrollment
- Students may begin the Pharmacy Technology program in either the Fall or Spring semester. It may also be possible to start the program during the Summer session. Daytime and evening classes are available during the Fall and Spring. Summer classes are offered in the evenings only.
- There is no separate admission procedure for the Pharmacy Technology program. Interested students should first apply for admission to Santa Ana College. Once their applications have been processed, students will be assigned a registration date.
- On given registration date, students can enroll in the individual Pharmacy Technology classes that they wish to take.

Costs
- Enrollment fees= $46 per unit for California state residents.
- Non-resident tuition= $412.00 per unit;
- non-residents include international and out-of-state students.
- All fees and tuition are subject to change by the CA state legislature, or Community College Board of Governors, or District Board of Trustees.
- Each semester, students pay for the number of units in which they are enrolled.
- Most Pharmacy Technology students enroll in no more than 7 units per semester.
- The Pharmacy Technology Basic Certificate program is a total of 16.5 units* of major courses.
- The Advanced Certificate program is a total of 26 units* of major courses.
- Students may also need to take keyboarding to prepare for some of the Pharmacy Technology courses (See Prerequisites).
- Additional fees are set by SAC for Student Services, Parking and Health. Please refer to the current Schedule of Classes for complete information on fees and tuition. The Office of Admissions and Records at (714) 564-6455 can also provide current information on costs and residency requirements.
- Pharmacy technician students are also required to purchase textbooks and a basic function calculator. A lab jacket and name tag are required for lab classes and externship. Total textbook and supply costs are approximately $400.
