Program Format
THIS IS A 2 YEAR PROGRAM AND UPON COMPLETION STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE AN A.S. DEGREE
The OTA Program is comprised of both online and on campus courses. In order to take online courses, students will need to have a computer/device with audio & camera capabilities, reliable internet access, and a working email address. Students will need to have basic skills in internet access and word processing. There are student tutorials on the Santa Ana College Canvas Student Resources website to guide the student in use of the system.
Student must have access to reliable transportation, up to 60 miles one way, for Level I & Level II fieldwork. Students without access to reliable transportation may be unable to complete Level I & Level II fieldwork, and unable to successfully complete the OTA program.
OTA Enrollment Format - On campus lecture and lab classes will meet on campus twice a week during the first, second and third semester. In addition, students are required to complete 32 hours of off-site Level I fieldwork during second and third semester. During the fourth (final) semester students are required to complete two eight-week full-time (40 hours a week) Level II fieldwork rotations. No courses are offered during the intersession or summer semesters.

Program Duration - Our program takes two years to complete, with classes only being offered during the Fall and Spring semesters. Students are not able to partially enroll in our program; which means that all courses need to be taken during the appropriate sequencing pattern. Students are not able to enroll in any OTA courses unless they have been admitted into the program.
