| Yvette Nuñez, M.A.Yvette Nuñez is an adjunct faculty member that joined the Human Development and Education Studies team in January 2015. Yvette earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Fullerton and a Masters of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education from California State University, Long Beach. Yvette is bilingual in Spanish and brings years of experiences working directly with families and children birth through five. She has worked in both home settings and center base settings as a home educator with Orange County Headstart. In her current full-time role, she is a Child Development Community Liaison for Help Me Grow. She engages in active outreach in the community to education professionals and parents about development surveillance, as well as seeks out new developmental resources that can help families’ access early intervention services in the community. Prior to this experience, Yvette worked as a Maternal Child Health Coordinator with MOMS Orange County. While at MOMS Orange County she provided prenatal education, helped link pregnant women and their families to resources and provided support to the mother during the child’s first year of development. Her goal as an Early Childhood Education Specialist to help agencies and families connect with resources in their community. Yvette states that she loves giving back to her community and has a passion for making an impact in the lives of children, family and the community.
