| Phirin Keo Salinas, Ed.D.
Phirin Keo Salinas, Ed.D. has been in the Early Childhood Education field for over 23 years.
As a second-generation Cambodian American and a first-generation college graduate, her goal is to ensure that all students are provided with inclusive educational learning opportunities to reach their full potential. She has been part of the Child Development and Education Studies teaching team at Santa Ana College and Santiago Canyon College since 2014.
With previous home visitation, family services, and classroom teaching experiences in unique educational settings, she has provided exceptional educational services and individualized resources to children, ages birth through 8 years of age, and their families. Phirin led a team of Child Development educators and amazingly supported their personal and professional growth within the education field. Phirin recognizes the importance of culturally and linguistically responsive teaching practices, which enables her to serve the educational needs for diverse groups of students and is evident in her professional practices. Her ability to speak three languages is an asset to the education field. Phirin is a current member of various professional organizations, including the California School Employee Association, the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and the Orange County Association for the Education of Young Children.
Phirin earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and her Master's in Education from the California State University, Long Beach. Furthermore, Phirin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from the University of Phoenix and an Associate's Degree in Human Development from Santa Ana College.
