Hello everyone! My name is Maria Rios and I am delighted to be part of the Career Technical Education (CTE) Counseling Team! I provide academic, personal and career counseling. I started my educational experience at Santa Ana College and transferred to UCLA. After UCLA, I continued to pursue my Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of San Diego. Prior to joining Santa Ana College, I worked as a counselor for the TRIO SSS Program at College of the Desert. When I am away from the office, I spend time with my husband and my dog Rocky. I also love photography, hiking and snorkeling. My favorite vacation spot is Hawaii! Fun fact about me: I have played the violin for 25 years.
