CTE Counselor
HI, My name is Danny Peraza, I am one of the CE Counselors at SAC. I LOVE my job! I enjoy assisting students with achieving their academic and career goals. Whether you need help with planning out your coursework or just want to stop by my office (L-222) and chat, just know that I am here for you. A little about me: I am a proud Angelino, born and raised in South Central LA (Go Lakers, Dodgers, Kings, Galaxy, & Rams!). After high school, I was admitted to Cal Poly Pomona-CPP (Go Broncos!) as an Equal Opportunity Program (EOP) student. There I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and another in Gender, Ethnicity, Multicultural Studies. After CPP, I went on to pursue my Master’s degree in Counseling-Student Development in Higher Education at Long Beach State (Go Dirtbags!) Prior to Santa Ana College, I worked as a counselor at various community colleges: Santiago Canyon College, East Los Angeles College, Pasadena City College, & Citrus College. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. If we are hiking a mountain, jumping out of a plane, or doing anything outdoors, all the better. Fun fact about me: Every year I follow the Dodgers to an away game to watch them play. My goal is to visit all 30 stadiums. |
