Elizabeth Smith, a California native, received her BS in Anthropology from Biola University in 2006 and her MS in Anthropology from Biola University in 2011. She also received her Interpreting Training Certificate from Golden West College and currently holds her National Interpreter Certification (NIC) through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID).
Before joining Santa Ana College as an Assistant Professor, Elizabeth taught American Sign Language in a variety of post-secondary institutions and was an interpreter at Santa Ana College and in the Deaf community.
In her free time, Elizabeth likes to read and spend time with her husband and three kids.

Heather Arazi received her BA in Elementary Education from Gallaudet University. She then received her MA in Deaf Education from California State University, Northridge and an MA in Administration and Supervision.
Heather taught Deaf children for ten years before joining Santa Ana College as an Assistant Professor in fall of 2019.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her family and learning Jiu Jitsu.
