April 6, 2024: Rising Scholars LiveScan Clinic
This free event will take place ON-CAMPUS. Students and members of the public will be able to get LiveScan services during this event. More details to come as the event date gets closer.
April 20, 2024: Project Rise Expungement Clinic
This free legal clinic will allow students and members of the public to learn more about how to obtain an expungement and to begin the process of expungement. More details about this very valuable clinic will be posted as the date gets closer.
OCTOBER NATURALIZATION CLINIC
On Saturday October 29, 2022, the Legal Studies department facilitated a naturalization clinic for Congressman Lou Correa in the Academic Computing Center. There were 70 clients, 28 volunteers (10 from SAC). CHIRLA paid naturalization fees of $725 on the spot, so approx. $50,000 immediate public benefit! Pictures below are SAC students at work under attorney supervision. There were 6 community attorneys. We had SCE outreach there with ESL and HiSet info.
December 9, 2023: Thrive Legal Clinic
This ON-CAMPUS live event will help students and members of the public with issues ranging from Public Benefits, Housing, and the preparation of Statutory Forms. This event is FREE. More details will be added as the date approaches.

PRE-LAW DAY: FREE ZOOM EVENT: JANUARY 25TH:
Please consider this pre-law event from our law school partners.
4th annual Southern California Law Pathway Day. These events will introduce community college students to the resources and information that will help them transition to four-year institutions successfully while keeping law school in their sights. The sessions, offered by law school faculty and administrators, focus on the academic and soft skills that law school requires so that students can begin working on these now and upon transfer.
This year’s Law Pathway Day is scheduled for Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Registration is free and the event is entirely online.
