What are Engineers?
Engineers are the designers of our modern society, designing everything from cars, planes, buildings, roads, cell phones, TV's, trains, bridges, almost everything man-made! There are numerous disciplines of engineering: civil, mechanical, electrical, biomedical, industrial, aerospace, & many others. Engineer’s salaries are among the highest of all college graduates.
How Do You Become an Engineer?
Engineers must have a BS degree in engineering. Many students attend SAC and then transfer to a university to complete their BS degree. The total time to obtain a BS degree is at least 4 years.

If a BS degree is not an option for you, there are other ENGINEERING-RELATED career options such as drafter and engineering technician. These options generally require fewer years of education and MUCH less math and science coursework too.
