Jinhee Trone
Professor Trone's has been teaching full time at SAC since 1999. Her accounting career began at Ernst & Young, LLP in Los Angeles where she worked in both audit and tax. She was an audit manager when she left in 1996. During her seven (7) years at Ernst & Young, LLP, she worked with many different clients in various industries. Her clients included companies in health & fitness, sports & entertainment, health care, investment banking, manufacturing, and merchandising industries.
Following Ernst & Young, LLP, Professor Trone ran her own financial
consulting practice serving clients in Orange County with various financial and
reporting needs.
Professor Trone holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a
concentration in Accounting from CSULA and a M.Ed. in Higher Education Policy
and Administration with a focus on California Community Colleges from UCR. She
is also CPA. Professor Trone is a co-author of a nationally distributed
textbook with McGraw Hill - Fundamentals of Taxation (editions
1 thru9). She is a current member of TACTYC and a former member of the
California Society of CPA's and the American Accounting Society.
She enjoys travel, hikes, movies, and yoga. She also loves spending time with her husband, her family, and her two dogs!.

Mark McCallick
Professor McCallick's career began at Ernst & Young, LLP (Newport Beach) where he worked in the audit department for four years. After leaving Ernst & Young, he worked for NBC Television in various financial positions ending as Manager of Advertising Finance – West Coast before leaving to start his own CPA firm in 1987. After ten years running his own practice, he merged his practice into a national CPA firm located in Orange County. In 2004 he started a consulting practice and ran this firm until he accepted a full-time teaching position at Santa Ana College in 2014.
Professor McCallick is a Certified Public Accountant. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University and his Masters in Education in online learning from Cal State University East Bay. He has been teaching financial and managerial accounting and QuickBooks since 2012. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs where he holds designations as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and CPA. He is also a member of the California Society of CPA's. He is a certified Quickbooks Pro advisor.

John Strong
Professor John Strong, CPA graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas with a Masters of Science in Accounting and Information Management.
Born and reared in Texas, John comes to Santa Ana College with 7+ years of experience working in various capacities as a Certified Public Accountant. His professional experience includes working as an accounting clerk (Sears Holding Co), an internal auditor (Bear Stearns), an external auditor (KPMG), a finance associate (Bridgewater Associates) and most recently as a lecturer on accounting (The University of Texas – Pan American). His work has taken him to places as far as Athens Greece, NYC, the Texas/Mexico border & Ecuador and his love for travel has taken him to Peru & the Dominican Republic.
John has a teaching philosophy based upon the core idea that the pursuit of knowledge is one of the most exciting endeavors one can seek. Therefore, he believes an education should be fun and looked to with positive anticipation and expectation. From this view he plans his lectures and course work.

Linda Sung
Professor Linda Sung, Esq., CPA graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Northwestern California University School of Law with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
Professor Sung's career began in the private sector as a CFO for a retail chain for 10 years. Then she decided to switch to government accounting and joined the Internal Revenue Service for 11 years where she worked as a senior auditor in various audit groups and as a team leader in abusive transaction group. While working at the Service, she pursued a JD degree and became a licensed attorney. She began practicing law part-time. She has been teaching at SAC as an adjunct since 2012 where she taught Financial Accounting, Payroll Accounting, Computerized Tax Preparation, Federal and California Tax, and Tax Practice and Procedures. In 2016, she decided to leave the Service and accepted a full time teaching position at Santa Ana College.
Professor Linda Sung is a Certified Public Accountant and an Attorney. She is also a member of the California Society of CPA's and State Bar of California. In her spare time, she volunteers at Public Law Center of Orange, CASA of Orange, and VITA.
