Work for Your Book

FUNDS FOR THE SPRING 2009 SEMESTER HAVE BEEN EXHAUSTED!
Applications will no longer be accepted and vouchers will no longer be given out for Spring. Please check back again for the Fall 2009 Semester in early August.

The Work for Your Book Program, sponsored by the Associated Students Government of SAC is designed to provide eligible students with a book voucher to the Don Bookstore, in exchange for hours of service at a designated SAC department or office.  Students enrolled in 6-11 units may be eligible for a part-time voucher ($100 for 10 hours of service); students enrolled in 12+ units may be eligible for a full-time voucher ($200 for 20 hours of service).  Service hours must be completed usually by the ninth week of the semester.

Eligibility Requirements:

NOT be receiving financial aid* (verified)

Paid the Student Services Fee

Enrolled in a minimum of 6 units

Have a minimum grade point average of 2.2

Applications are available two weeks prior to the beginning of the semester.  Vouchers are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until the funding source is exhausted.  Please allow 24 - 48 hours processing time. Students may pick up an application in the Office of Student Life (U-121A) or contact Student Activities at (714) 564-6320 for more information. 

*If funds allow, students receiving the BOGW will be accepted after all others have been considered and after the third day of the semester.
