Health and Wellness CenterThe purpose of the SAC Health and Wellness Center is to provide students with access to medical care for acute illnesses, injuries and psychological counseling services.  Urgent care and emergency first-aid services are available to students, employees, and visitors.  Medical and psychological health care is provided by registered nurses, physicians, psychological interns and psychologists.

Our mission is the following:

  • Assisting the students to achieve the maximum level of physical and mental health.

  • Facilitating the student in making healthy lifestyle choices through education and information available on lifestyles and choices

  • Assisting the staff on an as-needed basis with their health education, health assessment, and health care needs

  • Offer consultation to students and staff as needed.

The Health and Wellness Center provides medical, nursing and psychological services to enrolled students who have paid the health fee.  A registered nurse is always available.  Physicians are available by appointment only.  Psychologists and psychological interns are available by appointment and walk-in consultations.  There is a nominal fee for certain lab tests, procedures, and supplies.  Services include birth control information and services, urgent care, crisis intervention, first-aid, acute  illness, health screenings and information, help with stressful family life situations, emotional support, and referrals.  Check Fall and Spring schedules for groups and workshops offerings.  Wellness programs and health promotion activities are held throughout the semester.
