Course Description

A course for beginning students who are doing 0-25 words per minute.  You will learn basic keyboarding skills.  Includes alphabet and numeric keyboard, speed and accuracy development, and basic word processing skills.  Course will be taught via Internet.  Basic keyboarding is one unit of credit when you complete 20 lessons.  You may earn additional credits by completing additional lessons (up to 40 lessons minimum), which would include word processing, correspondence, tables, report, etc. You must have access to a computer at home or use the computer lab. You must purchase the text/software to enroll in this class.

Drop for non-payment

Enrollment fees must be paid IN FULL within three business days of registration or you will be dropped for non-payment. The date that you register counts as the first business day.

Student Responsibility to drop classes

Students who cannot continue in a course have an obligation to withdraw officially through the Admissions and Records Office.  You can contact the Admissions Office to confirm withdrawal dates or check the Section Information area in WebAdvisor for your individual course(s).
