Students may
attend the College if they are a:
- High school graduate OR
- Person in possession of a California
high school proficiency certificate OR
- Person 18 years of age or older who can
profit from instruction OR
- High school student qualifying for
Career Advanced Placement (CAP) program OR
- International students are eligible for
admission under a student visa (F-1); apply through the
International
Students Center, Santa Ana College campus.

Family Education Rights and Privacy
Acts
As required under the provisions of the
Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, the Rancho Santiago
Community College District will make public without student consent only
certain directory information. This information consists of the
following:
- a student's name;
- city of residence;
- major field;
- participation in officially recognized
activities and sports; weight, height and age if a member of an athletic
team;
- dates of attendance;
- degree and awards received; and
- the most recent previous educational
institution or agency attended by the student.
Saying NO on the application places a BLOCK on your student
records and prevents the release of the above directory information.
Saying YES to FERPA allows Admissions staff to verify your
class attendance and/or degree to
prospective employers. Matriculation Information
New Student
You are a new student if you have never enrolled in college
credit classes at RSCCD.
Matriculation consists of a program of
assessment, orientation, and academic advisement for students who plan
to do any of the following:
- accumulate 15 units or more
- enroll in an English or Math course
- work toward an Associate degree, occupational certificate, transfer
program to a four year university, or new career.
To complete placement testing
(assessment) you must first file your admission application.

Students with bachelor's degree or
higher are exempt from matriculation.
