Description
The Success Center is an academic learning center that provides computer-aided individualized instruction in reading, language arts, mathematics, English, and writing.  The content and learning objectives are customized  to the student's individual skill level and needs.  An individualized learning contract is developed to meet educational goals.

Resources
Software and resource material coupled with computer access provide reading, language arts, and math skills development.

Services

  • Students have access to state-of-the-art curriculum and technology. 
  • The computer programs are self-paced.
  • Students have many opportunities to improve their academic skills
  • Caring and skilled instructors, as well as instructional aides are available to assist students.

Students can enroll in an Inter-disciplinary Studies course (N04) or an Adult Basic Education course which are open entry/open exit classes. Both courses are free and enrollment can be completed in the Success Center.  Additional classes from English, Study Skills, Math, Reading, and ESL are scheduled to meet in the Success Center, and the normal registration process must be followed. 

 

Location
We are located at Santa Ana College on the 2nd floor of the Library Building, L-206.  Entrance to the Success Center is through L-123 on the south side of the Library building.

Awards
Recipient of the California Chancellor's Office and Board of Governors Student Success Award 2002 for Region 8.
