Welcome to SAC Biology

Welcome to the Santa Ana College Biology Department.   We offer an associate degree in biological science which prepares students for pre-professional careers and a curriculum in a four-year institution within a self-selected specialized content area such as zoology or microbiology.  The biologist is prepared to enter graduate or professional programs of study such as medicine, dentistry, agriculture, medical or biotechnology.   Many biological scientists work in research and development.  A number of students in the biology department enroll in anatomy, physiology and microbiology to complete pre-requisites for health career programs.  For transfer information to California State University please see assist.org

The Biology Department is located on the second floor of Russell Hall.  Courses in the area of biology are rigorous and students are encouraged to study 2 hours for every in class hour.
