This 21st century play by American playwright Charles Mee is based on the ancient Greek play by Aeschylus, The Suppliant, in which fifty brides flee to a manor in Italy to avoid arranged marriages to their fify cousins. The plot of the original Greek play is brought into modern times and includes such details as having the grooms ambush the brides by helicopter. While the brides and grooms wait for their wedding day, the characters raise issue of gender politics, love, and domestic violence.

Now in its fourth semester, the SAC Film Festival Showcase is a cinematic experience featuring screenings of multiple short films written, produced, and performed by Santa Ana College students. Films are fully produced, edited, and scored and range from situational comedies to social dramas to suspenseful thrillers.
