The first of a two-part series that focuses on challenges facing student-veterans transitioning from military to civilian life.
Santa Ana College’s Veterans Resource Center (VRC), in collaboration with the Orange County Health Care Agency’s “Drop Zone,” cordially invites new and returning student veterans, military dependents, and the college community for viewing of the 2011 Academy Award nominated documentary, “Restrepo,” which follows 2nd platoon of Battle Company’s 15-month Afghanistan deployment.
The documentary will be followed by a first-hand testimonial by recent Santa Ana College graduate and member of 2nd platoon, Aron Hijar, who will present his transitional journey from military to civilian life, and the challenging roadblocks encountered along the way.
