GEAR UP Program: Parent Involvement


Goals:

  • To develop and implement a comprehensive set of GEAR UP parent activities and support services that will enhance participation in the school community,
  • To empower parents to seek and obtain information and resources to help fund their children's college education,
  • To provide training that will be of immediate use in helping students with homework and study skills,
  • To increase understanding of all segments of the education system and create a mechanism for on-going leadership involvement in GEAR UP.
