The Financial Aid Office administers federal and state student aid programs designed to assist students who are unable to meet the cost of education.  These programs include the Board of Governors Fee Waiver (BOGW), Cal Grant programs, Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), and the Federal Direct Loan programs (Subsidized and Unsubsidized).

Since the application process can take a number of weeks before funds are available for payment, students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible as of October 1st of the year for the subsequent fall semester.  In addition to the FAFSA, applicants for financial aid will be notified if any additional documents are needed to complete their applications.

At the Federal level, we offer the following financial aid programs:

  • Federal Pell Grants

  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants

  • Federal Work-Study

  • Federal Direct Loans (Subsidized and Unsubsidized)

At the state level, we offer the following financial aid programs:

  • Board of Governors Fee Waiver (BOGW)

  • Cal Grant Programs (Cal Grant B and C)

All of the above programs (with the exception of the Board of Governor's Fee Waiver) require that you file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  For faster processing, we encourage our students to submit the FAFSA on-line at FAFSA
