Mission Statement

The mission of Disabled Students Programs & Services (DSPS) at Santa Ana College is to provide equal access to educational opportunities for students with verifiable disabilities.  Through the utilization of specialized instructional programs and disability related services, DSPS encourages and fosters independence and assists students in attaining their educational, personal, and vocational goals.

FORMS AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION ​ ​

DSPS APPLICATION FOR SERVICES FORM

DSPS provides educational services and access for eligible students with documented disabilities who intend to pursue coursework at Santa Ana College.  Completion of this Application for Services form constitutes an agreement to apply for DSPS.

CONSENT FOR REQUEST OF INFORMATION FORM

 

Students are responsible for requesting Disabled student Programs & Services (DSPS) services and for providing appropriate disability verification from a qualified professional.​

CONSENT FOR RELEASE OF INFORMATION FORM

 

 
A signed authorization from the student is necessary in order to send the disability records to another agency or educational institution.
DISABILITY VERIFICATION FORM
Complete the top portion of the Disability Verification form and give it to your certifying health professional.  this form must be submitted to DSPS in order to receive services and accommodations.

LD TESTING ACCOMMODATIONS  GUIDELINES

LD testing accommodations do not give students an advantage in a testing situation; rather, they compensate for educational limitations created by disabling conditions.  Students must follow these guidelines when testing with special accommodations.
