Since 1972, Santa Ana College (SAC) has offered a training program for
pharmacy technicians planning to work in outpatient, inpatient, and home health care pharmacy. In 1984, SAC became the first community college in the United States to be accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). SAC currently has full-cycle (six year) accreditation by ASHP and is the only program ever to receive accreditation with commendation!
Santa Ana College also offers courses which will prepare you for
admission to a school of pharmacy. These general education courses are not taught within the Pharmacy Technology Department.

Attention New Qualified Externs: Mandatory Externship Meeting for Summer and Fall 2013 is Wednesday 5/8/2013 from 1:30 to 2:30PM. Trade/Generic Equivalent and Drug Categories Test will be given . Copies of petitions for certificates and degrees are required.
