Upward Bound is a college preparatory program that provides eligible students from Saddleback, Santa Ana, and Valley High School rigorous academic support and guidance toward a post-secondary education. Participants learn year round through afterschool tutoring, student and parent academies and a six-week summer residential program, gaining a solid educational foundation that prepares students for college level studies. Enrichment activities, including university and cultural activities, financial aid workshops to expose them to a college setting, SAT prep, and college application process. Upward Bound offers academic instruction in mathematics, laboratory sciences, composition, literature, and foreign languages.
